Head of School Search

Foxcroft's next Head of School will assume leadership responsibilities on July 1, 2025.

The following communications share progress from the Head of School Search Committee to the broader Foxcroft community. If you have questions about our Head of School search, please email hos.search2024@salamzone.com.

The Search Committee will manage the process of searching for a new Head of School.

This process includes guiding and approving the Position Description, selecting the semifinalists and conducting interviews, overseeing the on-campus interviewing of finalists, conducting background checks, selecting and nominating the finalists for the full Board to approve, preparing the transition plan, and ensuring a successful transition. It is important to note that the members of the Search Committee are serving as individuals representing the overall best interests of Foxcroft, and will not be acting as representatives of any particular constituency.

After evaluating several search firms, the Board has selected Susanna Jones and Karen Whitaker from Carney Sandoe & Associates to lead the search.

Together, they bring a wealth of experience in school leadership and leadership searches. They visited the campus in May to meet with constituents from across the school, and are conducting a community survey to help them understand the experiences of parents, alumnae, and other supporters of the School.

As our search partners, Susanna and Karen will also identify and screen possible candidates for the Search Committee to evaluate, will oversee the interview process, will provide advice and guidance to both the Search Committee and the Board, will partner with the Board to create a successful transition plan, and will return once the new Head is in place to ensure the success of the new Head.
